homemade paleo chili

There is nothing like a big ol' batch of warm crockpot chili to come home to after a long day at work! Check out this recipe for a paleo version, but one that is still FULL of all the goodies! Super easy to swap out the ingredients too, if needed.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil

  • 1/2 red onion, diced

  • 1 lb organic ground turkey

  • 1 15 oz can fire roasted tomatoes

  • 1 15 oz can tomato sauce

  • 1/2 cup bone broth

  • 1 medium sweet potato, peeled and cubed

  • 1 can chopped green beans

  • 1 red bell pepper, diced

  • chili powder

  • cumin

  • oregano

  • garlic powder

  • paprika

  • red chili flakes

  • **use spices to taste preference!

DIRECTIONS

  • Cut up all ingredients and place/pour into the crockpot with the various spices.

  • Add in the ground turkey to brown (or you can cook in a separate skillet and then add in).

  • Stir altogether until evenly mixed together. Add more spices for flavor if needed!

  • Cover and let simmer on high heat for 2-3 hours, then drop down to low for 1-2 hours, then just keep on warm until ready to serve.

  • Top with avocado, nutritional yeast or organic cheese & chives. You can also add a handful of chopped spinach once finished for extra greens.

  • Enjoy!
