There is nothing like a big ol' batch of warm crockpot chili to come home to after a long day at work! Check out this recipe for a paleo version, but one that is still FULL of all the goodies! Super easy to swap out the ingredients too, if needed.
2 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
1/2 red onion, diced
1 lb organic ground turkey
1 15 oz can fire roasted tomatoes
1 15 oz can tomato sauce
1/2 cup bone broth
1 medium sweet potato, peeled and cubed
1 can chopped green beans
1 red bell pepper, diced
red chili flakes
**use spices to taste preference!
Cut up all ingredients and place/pour into the crockpot with the various spices.
Add in the ground turkey to brown (or you can cook in a separate skillet and then add in).
Stir altogether until evenly mixed together. Add more spices for flavor if needed!
Cover and let simmer on high heat for 2-3 hours, then drop down to low for 1-2 hours, then just keep on warm until ready to serve.
Top with avocado, nutritional yeast or organic cheese & chives. You can also add a handful of chopped spinach once finished for extra greens.
