I'm Kell, the gal behind Health & Kellness. Kellie Bernardi to be exact, but please, call me Kell. I am so thrilled that you are here! Both a company and a blog, my main focus with H&K is to educate and bring awareness to how detrimental processed foods are to our health and show not only the benefits but also the simplicity behind adapting a clean eating lifestyle (with a dash of other fitness, clean beauty, and travel tips on the side!) 


I am a NASM Certified Personal Fitness Trainer as well an ACE Holistic Health Coach with a passion to help you become the BEST version of you. I'm a born and raised GA peach, a foodie, a fitness fanatic, the co-founder of Pursuit & Tie, and am the middle child of a family of 5 (surrounded by two brothers). Oh, and kittens are my favorite.

When it comes to my health journey, it truthfully wasn't always a priority for me. In fact, I ate rather poorly & didn't even exercise regularly until I was 22. I couldn't even make it through half a mile without gasping for air. And knowledge about food? Pshhh...ramen noodles anyone? It took me a while, but I finally hit a breaking point and knew that it was time for a change. Time to put myself first and feel great, both inside and out. 



It all started when my parents forced me to go to routine chiropractic care (okay, maybe not forced, but rather encouraged). Sometimes I question their decisions, BUT it turns out that I'm obsessed and don't know how I could even imagine my life without it now (so thanks Mom & Pop, I love ya). Not only did it relieve a lot of stress from my daily life, but it also taught me a TON about holistic nutrition.




and we are called to take proper care of it so it can function at its best potential. Health is WAY more than what we see in the mirror - it is not just about having a six pack or keeping a certain weight, but rather it is a balance between our mind, body and spirit. It encompasses SO much more than we understand!


At the end of the day, our body is a temple

If I'm being honest though, my main reason for changing my lifestyle had to do with my skin. I've struggled with acne my whole life - in fact, it's my biggest insecurity. No matter what method I used to cure it - pills, lotions or even self-care - nothing ever seemed to work. It wasn't until I took a step back and realized the solution wasn't in something I was putting on my body, but rather what I was putting in my body. 

After experimenting with various foods, I slowly found out that I am intolerant to gluten and (some) dairy products. So, yes. This means no processed breads, pastas, yogurts, milk or even beer for me. Tequila though... bring it on. I don't eat perfectly, but I do try my best when I can and am continuing to learn as I go. 

I truly believe that a healthy lifestyle is NOT about giving up the foods that you love, but rather just finding a healthier way to enjoy them.

Ever since my discovery, I've been passionate to learn more about health. I love to cook. I believe in real food, real ingredients, proper exercise and a clean, well-balanced diet. I simply want to teach you how my lifestyle changes have impacted my life, with the hope of impacting yours as well. Whether you work with me during my 8-week Well Balanced program, or just follow along on social media, I can only hope to impact your life for the better!
