homemade frappuccino

So I have a confession.....I grew up literally looking forward to the day that I could drink a Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino from Starbucks. Honestly, I have no idea why because I ALWAYS ended up with some chocolate chip pieces in my teeth (and I swear when I'd ask my friends for a teeth check, no one would let me know), a huge stomach ache, and even acne following the few days after indulging. Why yes, it was amazing, and tasted amazing. I obviously had a sugar high for the first few hours after drinking it, but then started to feel nauseous. Why I kept drinking them over and over again? Who knows. Because they're addicting like anything else!

But looking back, all 82g of sugar (yes, 82g!!!!! That's INSANE to me -- I usually didn't order a Venti, but I'm sure the Tall wasn't much lower), was definitely not worth it. I might as well have had a heart attack on the spot.

Ever since I started getting more into health I couldn't help but try to look into other ways to enjoy this lovely frappuccino of mine (when now, I barely even drink coffee, but when I do, I like a little kick!) without all of the added colorings, flavorings, caramel syrups, sugars, etc. Sometimes you just need a little coffee to get you through a long day.

Anyways, good news is that I have you covered! This recipe still provides you with a good little caffeine kick and a little added sweetness (but not super sweet!) while also giving you a little protein and fiber as well.

So, here is the recipe -- it's delicious!
